At the head of the Second Great Classified Wines, which comes to reward a great quality-price-typicity.
The castle owes its name to the English General Galian who from this place commanded the English troops during the occupation of Aquitaine in the 15th century. Family farm for several generations, planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, which presents a perfect balance, classic and traditional Margaux appellation. The vineyard is spread over rumps of fine gravel.

For Christiane Renon, this 2016 is a very beautiful vintage with beautiful color, quite concentrated. We harvested under a splendid weather, the wine is very fruity, I find it more structured than a 1990. The 2016 is a very pleasant vintage, well structured, well built, with fruit keeping but also a lot of roundness. It is a very pleasant wine, I wonder if it is not superior to 2015. Here, with the Château La Galiane, we work a lot the soil, we muckle, bring a lot of care to the vine, it is the start of a great wine!
The 2015 is a beautiful wine, quite structured, well structured, with fruit, round, tannins are nice, wines that will let aging. The 2014 is a flexible vintage, pleasant, very pleasant and well balanced, well structured, good care.

Indeed, true to itself, here is really a remarkable Margaux 2015, colorful, a pretty dark red dress, with ample, rich bouquet, with scents of licorice and blackberry, tannins well melted, dense mouth where s intermingle shades of black cherry and humus. The 2014, of deep purple color, rich but very elegant, very tasty, intense nose and mouth (wild strawberry, spices), with a very balanced and melted structure, very good guard. Tasty 2013, deep robe, rich and complete with hints of liquorice and blackcurrant, a flattering, round, full-bodied wine with silky tannins.
The 2012, typed, is racy, garnet-backed, which combines a beautiful structure with a nice flexibility, all shades of aromas with connotations of plum, violet and prune, warm palate dominated by macerated strawberry, for example, on a shoulder of braised lamb or an old-fashioned veal fricandeau. The 2011 is truly remarkable, with firm and well-balanced tannins, with notes of ripe plum, a powerful, very tasty wine, with a melted mouth dominated by candied prune, of excellent evolution, that we can start serving on puff pastry with morels.
Very beautiful 2010, rich in bouquet as in matter, all in the mouth with shades of black fruit compote, balanced tannins, full, of guard. The 2009 is powerful on the palate, with ripe tannins, a wine that smells of ripe redcurrant and humus, well rounded, of good structure, structured and fine at the same time, very good guard, to lead to a square of lamb with garlic. The 2008 is all in color and in matter, the nose of sour cherry and smoked, rich and bold, intense, a nice balance, a wine with tannins well present but silky, promising. The 2007, with its strong color, slightly spicy nose, with blackberry nuances, mixes a pretty frame with an alluring roundness to the taste buds, and tastes on a confit duck leg or fried veal chops.
Rebuilt this year, the 2005 tastes perfectly, with a nose dominated by spices and small red stone fruits, melted in the mouth, with delicate connotations of prune, violet, leather and undergrowth, all in seduction.
There is also its other Margaux Château Charmant, whose vineyard of 5 ha is planted on rumps of fine gravel, which has vine stocks centenaries, the culture is done by a fertilization made with organic manure. The 2015, very good mouth, is well fleshy, with harmonious tannins, with overtly ripe fruits and spices, beautiful black cherry color, rich and velvety palate with personality.
The 2014 is a wine that reveals a bouquet of spicy and peppery notes, ample on the palate with dense and velvety tannins and a lingering finish. Pretty 2013, with powerful black fruit aromas, a well-structured wine with ripe tannins, rich and supple at the same time, a nice finish.
The 2012, of classic mouth, of sustained structure, rich and perfumed, with its round and rich tannins, with these notes of blackberry and cassis in the final, is a wine which combines finesse and framework, with dense and silky tannins. The 2011, rich nose dominated by ripe black berries, is all in harmony, a wine with silky tannins and tasty, you will love it with a beef stew with mushrooms or a turkey roast terrine.
