Located in the historic massif of Saint-Thierry, ten kilometers north-west of Reims, the family farm extends over almost 8 ha. Three-quarters of the vineyard is planted on hillsides. All benefit from a southern exposure, and produce high quality grapes. “We have chosen to raise 60% of our surfaces in Pinot Meunier, 30% in Pinot Noir and 10% in Chardonnay, we are told. We thus have three grape varieties from Champagne to make our blends and give all their character to our Champagnes. The oldest vines are forty years old, a part being uprooted every two or three years in order to renew the vineyard. ”
Here is a very pretty brut brut rosé, 60% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Meunier, of smooth and fine foam, with discreet notes of wild strawberry and raspberry, very well balanced, distinguished and lively on the palate, enjoy with smoked salmon. Excellent Champagne Prestige, this cuvée emphasizes the finesse of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier giving it balance and homogeneity, a light yellow robe with amber reflections, a pretty finesse, it is successful, combining roundness and liveliness, while persistence like Blanc De Noirs, where shades of quince and narcissus can be detected, which combine roundness and density, perfect during the meal. As for Champagne brut Tradition, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Meunier, with intense aromas predominantly of almond, musk and broom, abundant foam, very well proportioned, it combines structure and finesse, with floral and fruity notes on the finish, really pleasant.

Since 1867, four generations have succeeded each other in renowned climates. Louis, Roger, Jacques and, today, Christophe Defrance, draw from their terroirs the best blends. Beyond the sparkling pearls, the Defrance family has had the privilege and art of vinifying the famous Rosé des Riceys for many years. The estate is mainly made up of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
The production is carried out using careful technical means: Christophe Defrance, head of the vineyard since 1988, has profoundly changed winemaking techniques by combining know-how and modern production system. In collaboration with his wife, they follow their objective of reasoned culture, aging to remove all inputs (insecticides, anti-botrytis, herbicides); all the soils in their domain are cultivated mechanically. And since 2017, Jacques Defrance Champagne has been Terra Vitis certified.

A benchmark in its region with this Champagne Brut Millésime 2007, with intense aromas mainly of almond, abundant foam, very well proportioned, elegant combining frame and finesse, with these floral and fruity notes, a very round Champagne, very pleasant. .
This Brut Tradition, all in fruity and finesse, an ample, mature but very fine cuvée, with connotations of lily and pear. Pretty Brut Exception, very fresh with notes of dried fruits and acacia, very persistent foam. The Brut rosé is tasty, it develops notes of ripe red berries, a nice finish on the palate, a fresh and fruity mouth. The Rosé des Riceys 2010, has a pretty robe, with a subtle and persistent nose, pretty foam, with strawberry aromas, supple mouth with lingering blackberry nuances.
Superb raw Native Solera, a Blanc De Blancs cuvée matured in barrels, with an almond and quince nose, very well proportioned, rich, of great aromatic complexity where we find nuances of lemon and honey, a success , a fine and fresh wine on the palate. The Native Extra Brut, full of fruit and finesse, full-bodied, has subtle nuances of baked apple, musk and dried fruit, a fragrant and suave palate, very nice evolution. “Native Extra Brut, the dominant Chardonnay brings to this cuvée power and minerality. Aromas of fruit (mirabelle plum, pear ...) are expressed with a good length in the mouth, with notes of toasted almonds and white flowers. " The Native rosé Brut, has a robe in shades of soft pink, with aromas dominated by raspberry and currant, has hints of candied apricot on the palate, a cuvée selected from the best slopes. Beautiful Excellence cuvée, very representative of Pinot Noir, with nuances of candied fruit, gourmet foam, which combines structure and nervousness, a powerful Champagne, with a delicately golden hue, truly remarkable on the finish. The Prestige, from selected vintages, comes from the majority of Chardonnay blends with 30% Reserve wines, with this delicate and limpid dress, very elegant and generous, with notes of dried fruit and pear.
As for Brut Nature, made without expedition liqueur, with delicate but very present aromas of fresh white flowers, fern and apricot, of great finesse, it is a beautiful complex wine, we advise you on a salmon carpaccio or an iced nougat.

t is in the South of Champagne, in the heart of the Côte des Bar, that their 10 ha of vines flourish. The vines aged fifteen to forty, benefit from the particular terroir of the Côte des Bar, dominated by clay and limestone. “We have been making Champagne since the early 1980s, thus perpetuating the work of several family generations. Our wines made from Pinot Noir grapes for 80%, Chardonnay for 17% and Pinot Blanc for 3%, age in vats for at least two years. So that the blend of these wines from three different years is then bottled to give birth to Champagnes of great finesse. These same bottles are kept for 2 to 3 years in our cellars. ”
Certified High Environmental Value since 2019.

Patrick Diligent tells us “to sell this year the 2010 and 2011 Champagnes and the usual cuvées: Blanc De Blancs Eminence, Champagne Véhémence and cuvée Atticisme.
The 2019 harvest took place under the sun, the grapes were ripe without any disease, hence no treatment. Quantitatively we have met the quotas, for us the 2019 vintage looks like 2018, so it's a great year that will allow us to make a vintage 2019 vintage. ”
Here is a beautiful Champagne Millésime 2011, composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, with this touch of freshness and characteristic fruity, it is a Champagne where we find nuances of fresh lemon, persistent on the nose as in mouth. Pretty 2010, it is a cuvée mixing aromatic richness and persistence, generous, with notes of lily, yellow peach and almond, a beautiful finish, ample foam, a wine that combines delicacy and richness of aromas. The Blanc De Blancs Eminence, a blend of different years of production made up of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, with an almond nose, all fruit, is a fine and fresh cuvée on the palate, combining distinction and richness, with a beautiful pale gold robe. Excellent Champagne Véhémence, blend of different years of production and Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, round in the mouth, with aromas of dried fruits and citrus, a generous and charming wine.
The Atticisme cuvée, harvest 2013, 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, beautiful color, full mouth with these notes of fruit, flowers (honeysuckle, lily) and almond, gives off a rich and very charming foam. Excellent Saignée d'Altesse rosé, a fine blend of the 2016 Pinot Noir harvest, with aromas dominated by raspberry and redcurrant, and with nuances of macerated fruit on the palate, it is perfect, for example on cheese puffs or a raspberry vanilla vacherin.
