At the top. A small family property of less than 10 ha, located for several generations in the tiny Hamlet of Gasparets deep in the
Corbières. Pierre Martinolle (87), regularly helped by his children Jean-Pierre and Françoise, has produced authentic and exceptional wines there for many decades, in an artisanal and organic manner, while respecting the traditions that have been passed down to him. Arid soils of secondary and tertiary origin with outcrop of dolomitic limestones and sandstone, sunny exposure of the
Corbières (and
Corbières-Boutenac), swept by the Cers (a cold, violent and protective north wind) and the Marin (from the Mediterranean Sea) which brings its soft and warm humidity. Traditional and organic artisanal
vinification in centenary cement vats for the reds, in stainless steel vats for the whites and
rosés. Aging and aging in stainless steel vats and partially in oak barrels for
Corbières-Boutenac. The
rosés are produced by bleeding at controlled temperature. The blanks are produced by direct cold pressing. Organic Agriculture.
