At the top. The paternal grandparents settled in Gironde at the end of the 19th century. The maternal grandparents arrived around 1925. Originating in Périgord and Corrèze, they devoted themselves to agriculture and viticulture, in Arveyres, a town near Libourne where Bordeaux Supérieur is made. The son, Jean Bouldy, and his wife Andrée, bought Château Bellegrave in 1951. The couple got down to work as a good winemaker, not counting his time as much in the vineyard as in the cellar. In the second half of the 20th century, the Bouldys were the worthy representatives of these families who gave new life to the Pomerol appellation, with courage, humility, perseverance and on properties that reflect their discretion and selflessness. .
Jean-Marie Bouldy took over the property in 1980, joined by his wife, Pascale in 1995. Their children also came to work at the property, Aurélie in 2014 and Jean-Baptiste in 2015, thus perpetuating the very family vocation of Château Bellegrave. This beautiful 8.5 ha property, 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, benefits from a terroir of gravelly stony surface, clay and sand and a subsoil rich in iron oxide, also called “Iron filth”. Organic farming controlled by Ecocert.

Magnificent Pomerol 2017, with a nose dominated by red stone fruits and smoky notes, ample, racy and voluminous, with, on the palate, connotations of cinnamon and small macerated red fruits (strawberry, blueberry), complex and tasty, of great evolution. Typicity and seduction dominate this very big 2016, where elegance predominates, with these little nuances of humus and ripe wild strawberry, all on the palate, purple in color, with tannins present and deliciously melted. Superb 2015, spicy, generous, with tasty tannins, full and distinguished, suave, dense, with nuances of blackberry and humus, complex mouth. The very distinctive 2014 with a subtle nose dominated by plum and undergrowth, combining roundness and structure, with these nuances of cherry and cinnamon on the palate, is beautifully balanced, with nuances.
The 2013, "on the fruit", dominated by notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry and spices, is a tasty wine. Pretty 2012, all on the palate, with nuances of leather and candied morello cherry, a fatty and full-bodied wine, firm and persistent, very good evolution. The 2011 gives off a rich and subtle nose dominated by cooked red berries, a wine in harmony, structured, generous, very aromatic, with tannins. The 2010 is one of the most beautiful successes of the Château, deep garnet in color, a great very balanced wine, on the nose and in the mouth, with nuances of redcurrant, blackcurrant and truffle, with rich tannins, both powerful and tasty. We continue with this remarkable 2009, fleshy and robust, ample mouth, complex nose (leather, blackberry, pepper), all in power and finesse, beautiful color. Wine tourism on site.

A domain located at 60 m altitude, facing south-west, with old vines of about 40 to 45 years, and encépagement predominant of Merlot noir (85%), Cabernet franc (10%) and Cabernet-Sauvignon (5%).
The vineyard benefits from a gravelly sand soil with an abundant sub-layer of alios, more commonly referred to in the region as 'iron filth'.
The vineyard is not chemically weeded but worked regularly. Finally, in order to preserve the quality of our wines, the harvest is entirely done by hand, with total destppage. The Châteaux de la Famille Dubost were created in 1957 by Pâquerette and Yvon Dubost, former mayor of Pomerol, expert in the history of the town.
Today, Laurent Dubost, their son, a graduate of an agricultural school, manages the farm. Thanks to his work and that of his team, he places his wines in the foreground of their respective appellation: Château Lafleur du Roy in Pomerol, Château Bossuet in Bordeaux Supérieur, Château La Vallière in Lalande-de Pomerol and Château Pâquerette in Bordeaux Blanc Sec.
Always very pleasant Pomerol 2016, coming from a typical terroir of gravelly sand with a sub-layer of iron filth (alios), with persistent and subtle aromas of small ripe red fruits with stone, it is structured, with silky tannins, it is a wine that is both fleshy and distinguished.
Very pretty 2015, with aromas of black fruit and spices, it is a wine with velvety tannins with a full mouth and fragrant, while in the final, generous and persistent, of pretty structure.
The 2014 is intense color, with a powerful nose marked by notes of very ripe fruits (redcurrant, morello cherry) and smoke, is dense and powerful in the mouth.
The 2013 is full of charm, supple, with hints of overripe gooseberry, full-bodied and firm in the mouth. Same owner as the Bordeaux Supérieur Château Bossuet.
